Lets talk about race and genetics

I know that black, white or Asian are not the most accurate of race. so i am going to break it down into different categories.

White

-British

-Scandinavians

-North Americans

Asian

-East Asians

-Pacific Islanders

-South Asian

Black

-West and Central Africans

-West African Descendants (Afro-American &Afro-Caribbeans&Others)

-East,North and black South African

Now there are varies factors that impacts people's ability to perform at a certain sports.

Anatomy

 Muscle Fibers types

VO2 max

ACTN3

Myostatin

Androgens

In Anatomy, I am referring to :

Bodymass, Limb to torso length ratio, Samatotype and height.

Samatotype being

•Ectomorphs

•Mesomorphs

•Endomorph

Muscle Fiber types

Type 1

-slower

-weaker

-high endurance

-Aerobic respiration (with oxygen)

-need red blood cells

Type 2

-faster

-stronger

-low endurance

-Anaerobic  respiration (without oxygen)

-Do not need red blood cells

Vo2 is maximum  oxygen uptake

maximum oxygen one's body can use during exercise.

Vo2 Max is also an important factor in endurance exercise, as type 1 Muscle require oxygen for respiration.

ACTN3

There are 2 protein filaments in the Sarcomere of muscles .

Alpha-Actinin-2& Alpha-Actinin 3

Alpha Actinin 3 is responsible for fast and powerful Muscle contractions, another word is The Speed Gene.

However ,this gene has a mutation. this mutation causes the protein to be read wrong. therefore, it doesn't produce alpha-actinin-3.

This leads Type 2 Muscle Fibers to not be able to contract with alot of force.

So if you have that mutation allele, your Muscles won't be as powerful.

The other allele is R allele, the good allele. if you have RR ,your muscles will be able to produce alot of power.

If you have RX allele, your Muscle will still be able to produce a good amount of power  maybe not as good as the RR.

The R allele helps with injuries prevention and recovery, recovery is key to Muscle growth.

Studies found that the ACTN3  R allele was associated with high levels of testosterone in athletes. These data provide some mechanistic insights into the association between a-actinin-3 deficiency,  skeletal Muscle hypertrophy and power athele status.

Myostatin

Is a protein that limits muscle growth, it is encoded by the MSTN gene.

There was experiments on animals that with the remove of Myostatin gene, they have insane amount of muscle growth, even without any exercise.

There is alot of people born without Myostatin deficiency, that leads to Myostatin related muscle  hydropathy.

Androgens
are hormones that regulate male characteristics. Androgens receptors are the receptors in cells that interact with androgens. without receptors interacting with Androgens, it won't fo anything.
Androgen receptors activity is key to Muscle growth.
This also plays a huge role in androgenic hormones, if you don't have a sensitive receptors compared to those who does, you may not have as much muscle growth.
