I've been on a quest for years to find a lush, multicolor field of flowers to shoot nudes in. My eyes nearly popped out of my head as we stumbled upon this precious little meadow in the North Cascades! We were about a third of the way into the Maple Pass loop, which is a pretty popular hike so we had to be quick. And although there's a warm spring vibe in these images you may be able to tell that I was quite cold!

Going through pictures of these turquoise glacial waters reminded that I need to get back in nature ASAP. This quiet little beach in the North Cascades in Washington was the perfect respite.

But please hear me out if you are so inclined! I'm reaching out with a rare request from my followers as the election nears. As some may be aware, I've been actively volunteering for a grassroots campaign to protect renters in my community for the past 3 years. As a social worker, I care deeply about the impact of housing insecuri...

We stayed in Glide, Oregon, for about a day on our way home from our road trip through the Cascades. A lot of this area has been destroyed by recent wildfires and it was a lot emptier than we thought it would be. In a way, this was great for shooting, but it was sad to see how much of the landscape had been burned down. That being said, there was still so much beauty and serenity to be found here.

Some of you guys may have seen a few of these shots I posted from my trip to Mono County earlier this year, but we forgot to do a full set. These were the result of a spontaneous roadside adventure we took after driving for hours; we noticed this area was rather desolate yet intriguing and decided to go exploring for a little bit!

They say nothing good comes easy and that's definitely true of my experience hiking the Maple Pass trail in Washington. Boy was it a trek uphill. We basically experienced all four seasons on this epic 6-7 mile hike in Washington's North Cascades in late August. We started out with crisp cool air in the morning before the afternoon sun starting beating down halfway through. As we got higher and higher in elevation towards the end it actually started snowing, which was pretty unforgettable. The...

For the amount of effort it took us to complete the easy-breezy 1 mile hike to Rainy Lake in the North Cascades, the payoff was huge. We had the place almost completely to ourselves and I was blown away by it's quiet, pristine beauty. The crystal clear water was a bit cold for swimming but perfect for carefree wading. I felt like quite the lucky duck that day!

Sorry these are late y'all! We just got home from a spectacular trip through the North Cascades and Canada and these are a little preview! The first image is from Rainy Lake in Washington and the second is Cheakamus Lake in Whistler. Can't wait to share the rest!

My friend John aka Sococurves on Instagram just sent me these images he developed from a casual shoot at my house a few years back. Apparently he was cleaning out his office and just found this roll laying around! I really like the mood in a lot of these shots and I'm so glad he finally discovered them!

We took the Rim Trail, giving us views of Mono Lake and the stunning, snow-capped Sierra Nevada. Apparently the volcano here erupted about 600 years ago! Very cool spot especially if you're into geology

We visited this cute little town in the eastern Sierras that has two lovely hot springs and I included images here from both locations; the first 6 are Travertine and the rest are from Buckeye. While Travertine is the more popular spot because it's right off the road and easy to access, I think Buckeye was the winner. The scenery there was spectacular, the water was nice and hot, and it was slightly less crowded. While getting to the pools at Buckeye is a bit more of an ordeal, it was very mu...

This location near June Lake in Mono county is basically a mountain of volcanic glass created by a blast many centuries ago; basically a dome was created out of lava which solidified to form these boulders. As you hike up you get to see lots of shiny black obsidian interspersed with pumice as well as lovely views of the surrounding landscape.

These incredible, strange rock formations called tufa tower over Mono Lake, creating a dreamlike, mystical scene that's spellbinding to walk through. These ancient limestone columns were formed underwater through chemical reactions of spring water with saline lake water. This is a popular area so finding a private patch for us shoot in was quite the challenge, but I'm so glad we managed to pull it off!

While driving around the California-Nevada border, somewhere in between Death Valley and Las Vegas, we decided to go off-roading and explore the Mojave desert landscapes. This was one of those rare opportunities where there was not another soul in sight for miles, just the two of us. Amidst the dreamy sky and soft breeze, I leapt around with abandon :)

We were very lucky to see Badwater Basin filled with still, glassy water after the winter rains in February. If enough water accumulates the basin becomes the pluvial Lake Manly. This is a rare occurrence created by the atmospheric river that moved through the area this last year. Many years ago, Dan and I shot here when it was all just salt flats, which is what you encounter there most of the time. Whether it's a temporary lake or an expansive collection of salt polygons, this location is a ...

We've had weird bipolar weather lately in the Bay Area with a lot of gloomy, cold days in the middle of Spring, but last Sunday we had a gloriously sunny sky, perfect for playing outside! I've been aching to do a wildflower shoot but haven't had a real opportunity yet. Dan said he knew of a nearby trail that under the right conditions has been known to fill up with poppies. We hiked out there and found more purple weed flowers than poppies, but the grasses were still lovely with their little ...

In February, after hitting Death Valley, we passed through Las Vegas for a concert. It's not my favorite place in the world, but it was pretty fun dancing around in the buff in our hotel room, wondering if there was anyone in the distance that could just barely see the show.

Sorry these are a bit late! Believe it or not I'm just finishing up my second to last quarter of grad school and things have been a bit hectic (will be all done at the end of May!). Although I posted some of these on Instagram awhile back, we somehow forgot to work on a full set of images from this awesome location, which was somewhere off the 101 in Humboldt county on our way home from the Oregon coast last year. It was all a bit haphazard; I jumped out of the car, got naked, and ran into the woods. Dan managed to click a bunch of shots rapidly before we spotted a car parking besides ours in the distance. Not wanting to attract an audience, I scrambled to put my clothes...
